Taking the form of collective journeys, JERUSALEM is an ongoing project that commissions artists to make work informed by, housed within or seeking alliance with selected architectural sites across England. It uses the framework of a pilgrimage to propose a way in which to read architecture. Undertaking the expedition to pursue specific interests, artists select sites at which to realise artworks and around which the journey can be structured. These range from architectural sites, chosen for a personal interest in a building or the architect who designed it, to natural places, such as the view from the hill or the ocean seen at night.
JERUSALEM is organised by Claire Feeley and Ciara Moloney.
